Kerry Ingham Counsellor in Tunbridge Wells

Kerry Ingham - Counsellor Tunbridge Wells - Active Listener

As an integrative humanistic counsellor I am often asked if I analyse people. Few are convinced when I say ‘no’ and most are curious to know what they would gain through working with me. I believe the following:

You are the expert of your own experience and I am here to facilitate you making the changes you seek for your own wellbeing. I provide a respectful, safe and confidential environment where you are heard, understood and fully accepted for who you are. Together we can work towards achieving your goals.
My training is integrative which means my theoretical approach varies according to your needs. I learnt how to help others make the changes they feel they need to live life more fully – because I wanted the same for myself. I have worked with clients with a range of issues including loss, relationship breakdown and separation, post-natal depression, anxiety, stress, childhood-related difficulties, low self-esteem and life altering events. You may feel that how you have done things so far or how you relate to those around you is not what you want for your future. What ever is important to you is important to me. I believe in every person’s ability to heal.
About me:
For several years I volunteered as a bereavement counsellor at Hospice and worked with a local charity that provides supported placements for vulnerable and disadvantaged young people. I have been an artist and professional education illustrator for over 20 years and beyond my therapeutic work – I combine my creative and counselling skills to produce self-help resources. I am married and love to be outdoors or just about anywhere I can walk my border collie. I prefer to avoid spiders and housework.

I am insured, a member of the BACP and adhere to their Ethical Framework.
